There will be plenty of speaking and listening practice in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

We will start to do more listening and reading exercises in order to widen your vocabulary and to enable you to express your own ideas and opinions.
We will split the teaching time into listening exercises, conversation & games activities to develop your oral skills and there will be some grammar explanations. We will work with grammar, reading & writing exercises at home. GCSE 2nd year
Monday 18.30-20.30 Pilar Valera Castle Street Centre Kendal, LA9 7AD 12 weeks from 13th January to 7th April with a half term on17th February £168 This year is the second part of the course. It concentrates in developing the reading, listening, writing and oral skills needed to sit the exam in May/June. We will work with a more ambitious scope than the GCSE needs. We will read adapted news articles to talk about the issues raised, students will be able to give opinions and express ideas and the listening activities will be a bit more challenging that a Foundation GCSE. We will continue revising the grammar needed but already covered in the first Year. Those students who wish to will sit the exam in May/June 2025 C1/C2

You are able to give and justify your opinions and own ideas and you can manipulate the language to express yourself.
We will look into the history, social events, cultural events, economy issues and politics of Spain & Latin America today. This course is suitable for those who either have studied Spanish for more than 5/6 years, lived in Spain, have GCSE or equivalent qualifications. We are moving upwards to an A level or B2/C1in the European language ladder. Advanced

En clase haremos ejercicios de escuchar, hablar, leer textos y noticias actuales. En muchas ocasiones tendrás que dar tu opinión y justificarla. Un aspecto importante es la gramática, al comienzo del curso los estudiantes y yo decidiremos aquellos puntos que pueden ser mas interesantes o importantes. Intentaremos desarrollar tus competencias escritas con los deberes. |
