Year 2

This course is for those people who have studied a Y1 or aY2 but Covid put a spanner in the works or if you would like to go back a step and you are not a beginner.
We will look at the topics covered in Y1 and go over them before we cover new topics after Christmas. We will revisit the present tense in all its irregularities before we move on to cover the pasts and the future tenses. 
We will split the teaching time into listening exercises, conversation & games activities to develop your oral, skills and some grammar explanations. We will work with grammar, reading & writing exercises at home.

Year 3

You can hold simple conversations in Spanish but you would like to be more confident in your own abilities to make yourself understood and to understand when Spanish speakers talk back at you!. 
We start with some familiar topics to get you thinking again and extending the range of vocabulary and complexity of the structures used before we tackle the grammar in a light hearted way. By the end of the year or before, you will give a small talk or presentation to your fellow students on a topic of your choice.

This course is suitable for those who have completed a 2nd year of Spanish or for those who are able to get by in Spanish. You are familiar, not an expert, with the present, future and 3 pasts tenses in Spanish. The grammar section of the second part is fun, with lots of songs and games.

Intermediate

This course is for those who can hold conversations in Spanish but want to feel more confident in their own abilities. You are able to give and justify your opinions and own ideas and you can manipulate the language to express yourself.
We will look into the history, social events, cultural events, economy issues and politics of Spain & Latin America today.
The course will be based around reading texts on up-to-date events in Spain and Latin America or even worldwide in order to discuss the issues in the classroom.
Grammar points on verbs include the subjunctive; prepositions, pronouns and others will be revisited. We use the grammar book: USO INTERMEDIO
This course is suitable for those who either have studied Spanish for more than 5/6 years, lived in Spain, have GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
We are moving upwards to an A level or B2/C1in the European language ladder.

Advanced

Este curso es para aquellos que quieran concentrarse en temas de conversación, para aprender más sobre los aspectos históricos, culturales, políticos, sociales y económicos de la España de hoy.
En clase haremos ejercicios de escuchar, hablar, leer textos y noticias actuales. En muchas ocasiones tendrás que dar tu opinión y justificarla.
Un aspecto importante es la gramática, al comienzo del curso los estudiantes y yo decidiremos aquellos puntos que pueden ser mas interesantes o importantes. Intentaremos desarrollar tus competencias escritas con los deberes.
